THIS YEAR’S PHILADELPHIA FLOWER SHOW IS A SIGHT TO SEE
The Philadelphia Flower Show this year runs March 2-10, 2024. The show has been running and supporting the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society since 1829! In the past decade, it has become one of our favorite late winter/early spring activities to do here in the state!
On Saturday, Justin and I took the train into Center City Philadelphia to attend! We love going each year!
The theme this year was “United by Flowers.” According to the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show website, the theme “celebrates the unique and colorful community born out of our shared love and appreciation of gardening and the connections and impact they create on our everyday lives.” I think they captured this beautifully!
Justin and I spent the morning walking around, looking at all the displays, and checking out the artisans and vendors.

We had a few personal favorites this year! At the top of the list was the main display, ‘Edges and Reflections.’ We also loved the floral map of the United States showing the growing seasons. There was a cool map on the back that could show you routes across the United States to visit different gardens and arboretums! We certainly added a few more new ones to our list!

There were also displays representing different parts of the world, such as Niagara Falls and Kauai, Hawaii. These displays were put together by teams from all over. We loved the collaboration and seeing how some of our favorite places we have visited were represented!

Up next was a really neat exhibit featuring stunning photos of nature, which the designer then interpreted into floral arrangements. These were so creative and unique!

We also thought the decorated doorsteps and front doors were lovely. I know my mom takes so much pride in decorating the front of her home, and I think this year they captured the beauty and community of having flowers around the front of your home or building. I loved that design idea!

After exploring in the morning, we left the convention center and headed over to a local Irish pub called Tir Na Nog. We had the best and most delicious fish and chips we have had outside of Ireland! Highly recommend the 10-minute walk over to this pub to grab lunch. You can get a hand stamp when you leave the Philadelphia Flower Show, so you can explore the city and come back later!

If you are planning on heading to the Philadelphia Flower Show at some point this week, you can purchase tickets on their website. The cost is $49.99 for an adult ticket, and there are discounted tickets available if you are just visiting for an evening. The Philadelphia Flower Show is open from 10 am to 8 pm daily until March 10. It is held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center located at 1101 Arch St., Philadelphia, PA 19107.
