Today will be hazy, hot, and humid

Happy July! We are starting the month off with some dangerous heat.

A Heat Advisory has been issued for Elk, Clearfield, Northern Centre, Blair, Cambria and Bedford counties. An Extreme Heat Warning has been issued for Jefferson, Indiana, Southern Centre, and Huntingdon counties. All go from noon Wednesday until Friday at 8:00 pm. Please stay cool in this heat and use caution. Keep yourself and your pets hydrated and have a way to stay out of heat.

Temperatures this morning will be in the lower 70s. This morning we will have a mainly clear sky. Winds will be south from the between five to ten mph.

This afternoon we will have a mostly sunny sky. It will be hazy, hot, and humid today. A pop up afternoon storm cannot be ruled out. Temperatures will soar into the mid to upper 90s. With the muggy air, it will feel over 100. Winds will be from the west between five to ten mph.

Tonight temperatures will be in the lower 70s. We will have a clear sky. Winds will be from the west between five to ten mph.

The heat will continue into Thursday and Friday.
