It’s Thursday evening, but you may be headed to Penn State for the annual White Out Game on Saturday! The game kicks off at 7:30 pm against USC.
Travel weather for Friday is looking great, just don’t forget your sunglasses, since we will have plenty of sunshine. High temperatures reach the upper 60s.
Saturday we will have sunshine to start, eventually as the day progresses, high clouds will win out. Clouds will increase as the remnants of Isaias approach our state.
Morning travel or tailgating: Expect dry conditions for tailgating and a sunny morning. There could potentially be a little valley fog. Temperatures in the morning will be in the upper 40s to lower 50s with a calm to light breeze.
Afternoon tailgating: Clouds will begin to increase. There will be sunshine with high clouds starting to filter in. High temperatures will reach into the upper 60s to lower 70s. Winds will be from the southeast between five to ten mph.
7:30 pm Kickoff: Clouds will be thickening and temperatures will be in the lower 60s. When the game ends at Beaver Stadium, there will be a rather cloudy sky with temperatures in the upper 50s. I do right now think the rain holds off until later in the night into Sunday morning. Stay up to date with the forecast, and you may want to take a rain jacket or poncho with you to be on the safe side.
Halftime: We will start to see more of a mostly cloudy sky. Temperatures at halftime will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Winds will be from the southeast between five to ten mph.
Drive home: There will be a rather cloudy sky with temperatures in the upper 50s. Winds will continue from the southeast between five to ten mph.
If the remnants of Isaias speeds up, we could see rain arriving after halftime, but I do think right now, the rain holds off until later in the night into Sunday morning.
Stay up to date with the forecast, and you may want to take a rain jacket or poncho with you to be on the safe side.
Sunday the remnants of Isaias will bring us quite the gray and soggy day. We will have rain moving in and it will fall heavy at times. Otherwise, the day will be cloudy with fog. Winds will be from the east between ten to fifteen mph. Use caution while traveling, if you come across a road covered in water, turn around and take an alternate route. Since we have been in such a dry pattern, I don’t expect much flooding, but the forecast could adjust. Temperatures on Sunday will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Rain will continue Sunday night, and temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s.
Have a great time, don’t forget to wear white and be safe! WE ARE!
