Remnants from Isaias arrives to PA on Sunday

This week is flying by! We have had a week of dry weather, and that continues to start the weekend, before the remnants of Isaias arrives on Sunday bringing in some soggy weather.

Today has been breezy thanks to a dry front that moved through. High pressure returns for Friday and Saturday.

Temperatures Friday morning will be in the lower to mid 40s. Winds will be light. Since winds will be light, this could lead to patchy fog. Otherwise, we will have a clear sky.

Friday afternoon will be filled with blue sky and sunshine. There will be only a few clouds. High temperatures will reach the mid to upper 60s which is seasonable for this time of the year. Winds will be from the northwest between five to ten mph.

Friday night we will have a clear to partially clear sky. Low temperatures will be in the lower to mid 40s. Winds will be from the west between five to ten mph.

Saturday we will have sunshine to start, eventually as the day progresses, high clouds will win out. Clouds will increase as the remnants of Isaias approach our state. High temperatures on Saturday will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Saturday night we become cloudy and rain arrives late Saturday night into Sunday morning. Temperatures Saturday night dip into the lower to mid 50s.

If you’re headed to Penn State for the White Out Game, expect dry conditions for tailgating and a sunny morning. Temperatures in the morning will be in the upper 40s to lower 50s.

During the afternoon, clouds will begin to increase. High temperatures will reach into the upper 60s to lower 70s. Winds will be from the southeast between five to ten mph.

By kickoff, clouds will be thickening and temperatures will be in the lower 60s. When the game ends at Beaver Stadium, there will be a rather cloudy sky with temperatures in the upper 50s. I do right now think the rain holds off until later in the night into Sunday morning. Stay up to date with the forecast, and you may want to take a rain jacket or poncho with you to be on the safe side.

Sunday the remnants of Isaias will bring us quite the gray and soggy day. We will have rain moving in and it will fall heavy at times. Otherwise, the day will be cloudy with fog. Winds will be from the east between ten to fifteen mph. Use caution while traveling, if you come across a road covered in water, turn around and take an alternate route. Since we have been in such a dry pattern, I don’t expect much flooding, but the forecast could adjust. Temperatures on Sunday will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Rain will continue Sunday night, and temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s.

Monday there will be lingering showers in the morning. Temperatures on Monday will reach the mid to upper 60s. Winds will be from the northwest between five to ten mph. The remainder of Monday we will have a variable cloudy sky. Temperatures Monday night will be in the mid to upper 50s.

Have a wonderful weekend!
